The reason I say that they're important is that they influenced a ton of Pop Punk bands. How many albums and bands from the new millennium have been a straight up rip off of Blink-182? Very many. Whether you like Blink-182 or their many copycat bands or not, you can't deny that they were massively influential.

Yeah, but they basically just copied the Descendents. And most of the pop punk bands they influenced are the terrible kinds that give the genre a bad rep.
