"die ärzte" is, together with "Die toten Hosen", the most successful german band, that roots in punk music. They were formed in Berlin in 1982 and have, since then produced over 20 albums. They were struggling with each other a long time, so 1988 they decided to break up, until 1993 they finally released the album "13". Since then they have developed their style further and further, and have gotten pretty crazy, but I like them a lot :D
They are kinda funky, btw. They have also done a MTV-Unplugged-Session, called "Rock 'n Roll Realschule".

I like their earlier stuff, e.g. Mädchen. I don't know about their newer stuff. They were pretty good back in the 80s, definitely.

they were good until 2004, but i don't know what they actually do right now, lol :D the last album i listened to was in 2004 - my favorite album is "Le Frisur", and that'll stay like that

I haven't heard any albums by them yet. Maybe I should look into that album. :)
I only watched promo videos and concert footage on youtube. I also like Xmal Deutschland, and bought an CD by them.

And "13" (1993) is ...****ing good :D
