As regards A Place To Bury Strangers, I can hear a Joy Division influence in some of their stuff but I would never call them clones. Joy Division never sounded this noisy and space out.

This is true man. I will give you that. And Missing you is the tune I was looking for that sounded most like Joy Division. I just went with that one out of laziness...Lol, I got tired of looking...haha

You don't hear it either? it's the similar deep voice in the verse and the super simple guitar riff..

now i admit, the bands you guys have posted sound more like Joy division than the Drums, in fact they sound so similar it's practically the Joy division formula but the singers don't have that deep voice ian had.

I hear very little in Money that warrants them being labelled as a Joy Division clone. Mind you I'm only really familiar with their Summertime EP and their first album, so I don't know what their more recent stuff is like.

If you're going to list The Drums as a Joy Division clone you might as well list every second indie/post-punk band that has emerged in the last 35 years.

Fine, gang up against me, see if i care.. >_>

I still think that 'money' sounds like a polished pop version of Joy division!

Has anyone mentioned The National?

Fra Lippo Lippi's In Silence album played like a Joy Division tribute album.

Still liked it though.
