Imma count to three, then you better run... The vocals sound nothing alike..Especially during to chorus... The Drums front mans vocals are so high pitched! When have you ever heard Ian Curtis, singing like his balls hadn't dropped yet?

That's only in the chorus and if you didn't like me comparing them to Joy division you're really gonna hate my next statement

Johnny Pierce, the lead singer of the Drums? Better singer than Ian Curtis. (yea i said it)

You are just talking crazy now! Take your meds. How can they possibly be in the same ball park, or even the same sport dude. From the music to the vocals they sound nothing alike! Nothing! I don't understand you! You are comparing two separate genres all together and trying to sell me on the fact that they sound remotely alike, and you are doing a terrible job at selling me this lame duck. TIGHTEN. UP!

Haha i like you Roxy <3

i don't mean to sell you on anything it's just my personal opinion.

And i was kidding about him being a better singer (obviously) but as you mentioned, he does high hit those high notes so he is a good singer (if not compared to Ian)

And again, my comparison is in the deep vocals not which band is better and i tell you, im not the only one who made that comparison, in the youtube comments of that Drums video someone posted "Boy Division" as a joke saying they sound alike.

What you meant to say was they are closely related on the genealogical tree of musical life. It's cool. I dig you. I understand the bass and drums sound similar, but the whole song is to Indie to be Joy Division.

There's been plenty of bands over the years that sounded like Joy Division clones (such as Editors) and I can safely say that The Drums aren't one of them. I don't know where he's getting the comparison.

As regards A Place To Bury Strangers, I can hear a Joy Division influence in some of their stuff but I would never call them clones. Joy Division never sounded this noisy and spaced-out:
