Busy with work and university and stuff but I still enjoy browsing here occasionally man.

Your point is the salient one - post-punk needs no king. It's too diverse and broad in sound and approach to be encapsulated by one individual. Ian Curtis rules, but in a genre with bands such as The Fall, The Raincoats, Wire, This Heat, PiL, Young Marble Giants, Pere Ubu, etc etc - to call one person the "king" is to sell the others short.
