i really think its funny how two of the three people in this thread with "punk" in their usernames posted no punk bands at all with the exception of one, being the sex pistols.

dood. i know metallica isnt punk. but they set the stage for every other band out there. they are the best. oh and avenged sevenfold. cuz i played with them onced. they rock. misfits suck ass. they sound worse than the goddamn ramones. i like almost all other punk bands tho.
