And the Sex Pistols were as political as getting your nose pierced to piss off your mom.

Their whole shtick was anger without a cause, having a cause would have gotten in the way of that lol.

And I liked that about them. They just liked poking people in the eye. John Lydon is a first class troll.

Am I remembering it wrong, or was Bodies an anti-abortion (pro-life) song?

Can't tell if you're being sarcastic or not, but as a teenager, I tried sussing it out but was never successful. I couldn't tell if it was ironic, parody, or similar (sorta like Manic Street Preachers' "Archives of Pain" (which is by the lyrics, a heavy pro death penalty song - but that's not what the Manics believed in)).

At this point - I'm on the side of: It was a pro-life song but, I could be wrong

Tbh I think he just wanted to piss people off by shouting "ABORTION" and didn't care about the implications.

Could be. There must be an interview about it somewhere.

I think that's the answer here.

Even the Trump supporter sh*t probably has less to do with him being a conservative and more to do with him being a contrarian, then again who knows? I gave up trying to figure out Lydon's politics a long time ago.

Yeah I don't think you should look for a political stance in Bodies, it's just about creating controversy. Great song though
