I think you're forgetting the aspect that typically an average persons best creativity of music at during the earlier stages of life. Typically by 40 is the time when you realize this person is going to be making ****ty music for another 20 years, and never have a big of a hit as they did in the 1970s or 80s. |

I think the Sex Pistols could pull of a fun cover album but I don't think they could pull off original material. I just don't think they could get a real powerful message that would strike a chord with people and on the rare chance they did I don't think it would be taken very seriously. They're just not the people to do it anymore, they're too old and they just scream irrelevancy.
