Alright well one band. Since I've been drowning in Industrial lately, I'll throw in SPK. Ol' industrial band down my way.

Also, you know how many people here know about Stiffs Inc? Literally one, me. It's a crime how unknown they are.

I don't know if Foetus qualifies. I had "You've got Fetus on Your Breath" since at least 1979 or 80 seems like. They either preceded hardcore or came out at the very same time. So they can't be post-punk. They are certainly not industrial and definitely not goth.

My fave is Laibach. Got to see them twice:

One of my favorite bands. Sludgy Industrial Metal in the beginning which over time evolved into politically-driven, breakbeat-laced InduRock.

Einsturzende Neubauten from their classic Halber Mensch era. "Yu Gung" certainly was the song that turned into a favorite, but I think that a sample of what they were like visually adds onto the explanation of why they had an effect on Industrial.

Current 93 in the early days. Those who only heard Tibet's music from the days of Earth Covers Earth/Thunder Perfect Mind and after might be interested to see Tibet's manic presence back in the day before the Apocalyptic Folk era. GREAT footage! I seriously love the Nature Unveiled-Dawn era, but in a way, this adds onto what the early years were about back then.




...possibly my favorite actual recording of the early days. Heard this on a CD around 1992, and was seriously impressed.
