me and my friend just started a band .... but we cant think of a name
any suggestions??

you really dont give us too much to work with......first off what kind of band is it?

I'm guessing since you posted in the punk forum that its a punk band? I don't really have any good ideas for you. Just try and find a name that means something to you, sounds cool, and isan't already taken.

You can generate some random names to give you some ideas. A dictionary is also a good source of inspiration.

If i were in a band I wouldnt ask strangers to make up a name for us. You know your band has like no substance when they cant even think of a name for themselves.

i totally agree.. the name must be really personal.. it's like askin someone to write your diary for ya.. man, that's lame..

Awwww, come on guys! Cut the guy/gal just a little bit of slack. Sometimes people have a hard time being creative (which doesn't forbode well for a band). Maybe he's just having some sort of writers block? I've tried to help all I can, and I know from several bands I've been in that it can be hard to think up a name, especially when people are super picky about the name (which they should be).

if he can't think of anything, he'll call it "simple plan" and that's it

not knowing anything about your band/style/sound, just going on your screen name and the ramones, why not The Crummys (Crummy Stuff) or Scattergun?

if i were in a band id call it "action jackson". i saw a waiter up in delaware with that on his name tag and it made me giggle. especially since he was a surfer dude so the name fit his personality.

A friend of mine is in a band named Parabola, after Tool. It can work out sometimes.

My friends named their band Smiling at Strangers after the Million Dead song "Smiling at Strangers On Trains"
