They're two separate genres with the same name. I don't know how it happened, but that's what happened. I like plenty modern artists, and like you said, I can relate more to them, but this seriously shouldn't be considered the same genre. Tell me what stuff like this: Has to do with stuff like this(I do like some ADTR songs though, but it still showcases my point): Seriously, what the **** happened? Post-hardcore is a genre that came from hardcore punk and then developed into Emo. Everytime someone of my age I know talks about post-hardcore, they mean the latter, and they don't know about the existance of the original genre.
