It may not be as blunt and hard, but I believe It's more artistic, expanding the borders of cliche' alternative, punk, whatever the heck people here would consider pierce the veil.

I did get off on the wrong foot on this thread though. I'm actually a big fan of pierce the veil. "Flair of dramatics" didn't do much for me, but off a whim I checked out "Collide with the sky" and.... I.... Lost.. MY... SH##. I love the singing, I can't really talk on the technical aspect of the music since I just got into the scene, but the music in Itself was amazing.

oh oh oh oh. boo hoo, new "post hardcore" just wants to talk heart break and self indulgence. Yea.. That's what music has been about since the beginning.

And an old head in punk music (NOFX tat and all) told me that punk's an attitude. Apparently some people here think It's a certain guitar riff, or certain range in vocals that make people think It's "punk"

Heck, Pierce the veil impacted me oh so, that It's a complement that they're not easily placed in one genre. Let's then just call it "PTV muzzac"
