there's almost always a punk scene almost everywhere. north dakota does sound like the kinda place that would be what makes those statements "almost" though. i'm not from there, never been there, don't know anyone there, and am not aware of any punk bands from there but part of being a punk is making **** happen. meet some kids, hang out at some weird lookin places, you'll find somethin. if you don't, make something. tell people about what you know and put yo city on the map.

Well, Williston is the center of the oil boom on the Bakken. Meaning, well, it's experiencing a population boom of such epic proportions the sewage system can't keep up. As follows, even though you can make $20/hour working at a gas station the cost of living is so insane you won't come up much on top unless you're willing to slum it in a man camp or are lucky enough to have a home you owned in the area prior to the boom. Man camps are, well, where the shiftless proletariat (many of whom are amputees) huddle about.... meth and whores. Lots of meth and whores. So it's about the most punk rock town in America.
Anyways, if you want to see punk shows in the area, Bismark North Dakota & Billings Montana would be about your best bet.
