Im nothing close to a super punk or anything so I don't know any names but the guy from Pennywise is pretty good, and I like tre cool and barker but thats probably mortal sin to suggest such things in this forum.

All_Nite_Dinah 06-14-2005 05:42 PM

Acctually Barker is a really good drummer, Ill join you on that one. Hes got a really good sense of rythm and he can play fast as hell when he wants

Good Drummers

I love that Soundgardener guy for having a pic of the greatest drummer ever as his display. JB is out of control. If you have not heard his live 12-18 min. solos in Moby ****, please God check them out. Anyways, I like all these people talking about Travis. He's not bad, not bad at all. Fun fact about Travis: On Blink's most recent tour, he broke his ankle (I believe it was his ankle), so they rigged up a double bass pedal and he played both the hi-hat and the kick at the same time with one foot for the rest of the tour! Pretty mental. Anyways, I don't particularly think punk drummers are amazing. Punk is one of the easier styles of drumming. If I had to name punk ones though, I'd go with maybe Derek from From First To Last, although they are not really Punk at all. I have also always been a Pat Thetic fan too, I love the opening beat in "You'd do the Same" or the entire song "Davey Destroyed the Punk Scene". Check em out. Anyways, keep listening too JB. He's out of this world. also, when Santana played Woodstock 69, they had the most amazing 16 yr old drummer ever. Check him out in Soul Sacrifice. I don't know his name, sorry.
