D-beat really? Some of my favorite bands in general.

I love Discharge but the offshoot bands were so formulaic and boring and everyone who liked them was really dirty and gross

Never even heard of clockwork. Only d-beat band I've ever listened to was Discharge, and since I've only listened to them once I can't really give an opinion, but I was about as impressed by them as I am by hardcore in general. Not very much in other words.

Certainly a crusty genre, but most of my friends were those disgusting stinky guys so there is that. Wow I could name 50 D-beat bands that aren't in the least formulaic and all of the ones listed would have different formulas and different sounding vocalist. I love Wolf Brigade, Doom, Disfear, Disorder, Varukers and Final Conflict just as much as Discharge. But to each their own. Blacklist me, i'll deal with it.

They all sound the same to me, but I gravitate towards more skinhead oriented/art punk bands so idk

Thats understandable. Honestly of all the D-beat shows I went to, it was rare to see more then a few females.

I liked the Casualties when I was 12 and thought the mohawk was some sort of instrument.
