Non-MCR Punk
Since I was reading that disastrous MCR thread, people said they wanted REAL punk threads, so here you go.
I found this hardcore band, and based on the first two songs I heard I guessed they were emo...but they're punk. Hardcore punk band from Finland, check 'em out. They're called Riistetyt and you can see them here I also found another band today believe it or not, that was unknown to me. They're a ska/punk band from...Detroit! I believe... I love them so much and I only found them today.. They have a baritone sax, tenor sax, trombone, trumpet, drums, and guitars! They're called Streetlight Manifesto and you can check them out here but I believe they have their own website too.

Omg seriously, it's cool how they collaberated big band with punk, you have to give them credit for that.
It's hard to transition from the big band sound to the punk/ska sound.

that's a bullsh*t excuse, they've been PMed a lot and have been on to do something and they still haven't. these threads have been here for over a week and the mods are on at least once a day and should've done something by now

I can't believe you are into Punk music and you have never heard Riistetyt. Also, I can't believe you are into MUSIC and have never heard of Streetlight Manifesto. =P

I've been getting a lot more into ska these past few days and I found this band called After School Special at purevolume. http://www.purevolume.com/afterschoolspecial It's cool because they live like nine miles away from me. Yeah, if I didn't get on Musicbanter or the internet at all my band-vocabulary would be very limited indeed.
