Default any suggestions?

i was just wondering if anyone has any good musical suggestions. im jonesing to get some more music, even though my library and burned cd collection is overflowing as it is. lemme tell you what i like. i like a little bit of emo, not too much. theres only so much of the "my girlfriend dumped me so now im gonna go cry in a dark corner" stuff i can take. i like modern rock. that could mean a lot of things so lemme just give you an example of a few of my fav bands: sum 41, blink 182, fall out boy, new found flory, nirvana, taking back sunday and so on and so forth. i dont like hardcore or screaming banchee music so dont bother with that. no country or pop or hip hop. theres a reason why this is in the punk forum. so if anyone has any suggestions they would be appreciated. thanks!

That is not emo. If you don't like hardcore I don't know how you are supposed to like emo, thats a complete contradiction. Try Rites of Spring, Dag Nasty and Embrace.

Some of my recommendations, not saying they are punk or otherwise, just that they are good music in the vein of what you are looking for:

The Starting Line
Lucky 7
The Kreepdowns
Broken Cedars
Twotimer
MxPx (older stuff like "Slowly Going The Way Of The Buffalo")
Chevelle (older stuff like "Point #1")
Huntingtons
Sick Of Change
Slick Shoes
The Undecided
Watashi Wa (older stuff like "Lost A Few Battles, Won The War")

If you would like any more suggestions, I can give some more.

^ Your opinion... Suggestions were asked for and given in return. Don't come in here and bash other people suggestions. If you want to talk about how Yellowcard "sux", then go make a thread somewhere else.

I would also recommend Simple Plan (based on NFG again)
