Show me a way that you can dress without looking the same as someone else. Its all been done before. Where it becomes stupid is when people do it soley because its the popular thing to do. I might be accused of being trendy for some of the clothes I wear, but I wear them because I like them and they are comfortable, not to fit in (because I don't seem to fit in any group). Juding people based on outside appearance is the worst way to see anyone. Wait till you know about whats inside before you go saying they are doing something just to fit in or follow a trend...

More people needa live by that. Its pretty much human nature to judge people on first impressions, but people need to not keep that judgement when getting to know them (or when deciding not to like them because of the clothes they wear).

You know, that has to be about the most petty reason for not liking someone. I can't think of a worse reason (except maybe the color of their skin). Its just pathetic.

And then I realized... like I was shot... like I was shot with a diamond... a diamond bullet right through my forehead. And I thought: My God... the genius of that.

Well I just wanted to throw my 2cents in in this topic- I think whoever said that punk is hippies + violence is really trying to say that in the late seventies, they were both doing drugs and experimenting with music, I don't know who they think is particularly "violent", and in reality punk was a REACTION TO the hippie music- the long drawn out solos and never ending songs of the seventies were pissing them off, so they started a movement of fast, short, power-punched songs.
