Killing Joke by far for me. I love SoM but for a band that has only released 3 albums (with a drum machine I may add) and the last being a Jim Steinman co produced effort, there is no contest for me. A band that has released Absolute Dissent and MMXII within the space of 2 years and have them sounding both completely different; yet still easily recognisable as Killing Joke is no mean feat and SoM have had as many line up changes as Killing joke yet the core of Killing Joke remains the same and the original line up confirms that.

SoM have made far catchier songs but not many bands sound like Killing Joke to this day and that is not bad going for over 30 years.
