Anyone heard of Millencolin?

One of my favourite punk bands is Millencolin, has anyone heard of them?

abakubub 02-19-2004 02:10 PM

I've heard of them... Don't like them much though.

Eltiraaz 02-19-2004 02:14 PM

I've heard of them but I'm not too familiar with their stuff. My friends an absolute nut about them though.

banonbush 02-20-2004 08:40 AM

Yeah, Millencolin is damn good! I really like them. Lots of skaters like them...just a general observation is all. But yeah, I really like their stuff and they are very good live! You should all go see them today!

I would go see them, but I live in England. I heard they performed over here on their home from home tour, but I didn't book any tickets. :(

riseagainstrocks 02-20-2004 08:45 PM

A very good and original band. I don't own any of their stuff though. My friend and guitarist is obsessed with them though. They remind me of Lagwagon...

punks-in-my-blood 02-24-2004 02:51 PM

Millencolin is awsome! my favourtie song is Afgahn

Dr. Luncheon Man 02-28-2004 03:09 AM

Millecolin are mad. My sister is a millencolin nut also.

Probably my favourite songs are "Penguins and Polar Bears" and "Vixen"

IamAlejo 02-28-2004 07:42 AM

They remind me a bit of Lagwagon too. My favorite song by them is "no cigar". Download it, cuz i was about to chose that for my song of the week last time but didnt :(

flamingfishbone 08-02-2004 07:33 AM

I like millencolin's faster stuff, like these songs:
Mystic Reptile (my fave millencolin song)
Buzzer (the long one)
In a room
Nosepicker

And leona too, and a few others... They''re a good band! But live, they make a few mistakes though...but they're good nonetheless!

Yeah, they played Ozzfest a couple of years back as well, at Donnington. They were pretty good actually, and would have been one of the best bands on had it not been for Slayer, Tool and Hundred Reasons, who were all incredible.

covle 08-03-2004 03:08 AM

they've been around for ages. they played here a few years back at a festival. worst band i saw all day. then again, i never liked them anyway. but the crowd just stopped listening to them and basically ignored them. deftones came out after them though. that was a good set

gongadin 10-10-2005 02:38 PM

Some of my mates like millencolin, but i ain't really heard much about them

murd 10-11-2005 01:02 AM

inside_out 10-11-2005 03:45 AM

Yeah, I've heard them.
Seen them live.
They're good.

sleepy jack 10-24-2005 05:28 PM

I found them boring and nothing really unique there just one of those 80s-90s pop punk bands like bad religion.

Except nowhere nears as good as bad religion.

THE GOLDEN STRING 10-24-2005 06:28 PM

MURDER JUNKIE 02-09-2006 09:51 PM

Life On A Plate is one of my top 5 albums, lots of sweet metal riffs

Alfred 03-28-2008 09:37 PM

I'd like to bring this thread back up.

Recently I've been getting into a lot of Millencolin's stuff. I get a lot of it from the Epitaph Records website. My favorite songs are "Ray", "Penguins And Polarbears" and "Shut You Out". "Nosepicker" is pretty good too.

bardonodude 03-28-2008 10:01 PM

of course ive haerd of these dudes, swedish punk, I used to be really into these dudes back in high school. check out grass is always greener on the other side and their cover of coolidge by descendents, so good. [Edit] I jut realized this thread was started back when I used to listen to them haha oh the irony

Alfred 03-29-2008 09:20 AM

I've got their cover of Coolidge. It's good stuff.

Vancouver 01-29-2010 05:43 PM

LOVE them..Lozin Must ...yep.

tgpo 01-29-2010 08:42 PM

Borrowed one of their albums from a friend and gave it a few spins. Didn't like what I heard.

+81 01-30-2010 04:40 PM

'No Cigar' rocks my socks. Other than that I haven't heard much.

Alfred 01-31-2010 10:11 AM

I used to be really hard into these guys, and Pennybridge Pioneers is still some really great pop punk. Not as much anymore, but they're fun the odd time. Nice, carefree, adrenaline pumping action sports-soundtracky stuff.

realized 02-04-2010 12:52 AM

Millencolin is my fav pandora radio station =)

James 03-17-2010 03:38 PM

They are pretty good but the singer needs to take those ****ing horns off his head he looks like a tool.

Freebase Dali 03-17-2010 03:44 PM

Man, I haven't listened to them since Life On A Plate came out.
Do they have anything worth checking out after that?

Ivampire slayer 03-19-2010 03:19 PM

I've heard of them. How could you not love them? Sweeden punk is awesome.
Dance craze?
No Cigar?
Mr. Clean?

I love dat shat

hitman976 03-20-2010 01:08 PM

Sure. They're a solid band actually (another one from Sweden) Some albums are stronger than others (love Pennybridge Pioneers and Home From Home). Some of the earlier stuff is too "ska" for me. I recommend the above albums if you're looking for catchy, melodic punk.
