On the first listen I wasn't blown away by this song, but I'm glad that on the face of it, this album won't be a rehash of OtIP which it so easily could have been. |

Agreed, except maybe top 20. It sucks though cause usually I'm never in the mood to hear it because I've listened to it nearly 30 times. Massive replay value, that record.

I like this better than "In Remission." The album leaked. I don't like it as much as the last two but it'll probably grow on me. Does anyone find the accent the vocalist uses on some of the tracks a little distracting though?

Updated..
I'm with you so far Crowquill, hoping it will grow on me but they had a lot to live up to and I'm sure it will grow on me in time. Re Barnett's accent it's just one of those things you either like or don't I guess. The accent isn't one I really like, maybe it's unfairly synonymous with what are seen as "emoey" bands I can't stand, but I think it suited OTIP so well, and really just works for them. He definitely seems to have a bigger influence on this album though. |

Oh, I suppose they're okay. I saw them open for a band I can't at present level of intoxication remember a whiles back, when Menzingers were still early-on. I quite liked their first albums but it's been a whiles since I've listend to um.

I'm not feeling the new album upon first listen.
Dare I say it, but it sounds almost a little insincere and generic. Although because I was such a fan of OTIP I was persevere and listen until I appreciate this albums greatness. |
