the vandals

I'm sure they've been mentioned in here before, but there's no threads about them, so I thought I'd start one. Anyone else into this band? I got their CD a few months ago, and I love it. It's one of the few CD's where I actually like every track on it.

I had "look what i almost stepped in". The only song i really liked was Go! but i've lost it...

sorry bout that, yeah I mean the new one. I have to say, I really like what they did with "don't stop me now". I was expecting it to be pretty bad, alot of the queen covers i've heard I've absolutely hated, but I actually really like this one.

peace through vandalism - vandals first album, with the original singer, and back when the bassist (only original member left) played drums. Is by far my favorite Vandals album with songs like Anarchy Burger (hold the government), Urban Struggle, Wannabe Manor, The legend of Pat Brown...every song on that album rocks. The new lineup is way more talented (Josh Freese on drums my personal favorite drummer, and Warren "Mutant Boy" Fitzgerald on guitar is insane) So id recommend "Sweatin' to the Oldies" its basically all of the first album, and some others, recorded live with more intensity. They have a video for it thats funny as hell and shows exactly what a Vandals show is like (incase youve never gotten the opportunity to see them). (by the way, the vandals have somewhere around 10 or more albums)

As much as I like Peace thru Vandalism I just dont think it can contend with some of there new stuff. Its an awsome album thats fun as hell but I still think my favorite is proboboly Look what I almost stepped in..

THE VANDALS LYRICS

"Anarchy Burger (Hold The Government)"

anarchy, kill a cat
shoot james brady in the back
raise an army of rabid rats
beat your neighbor with a bat

anarchy burger
hold the government
anarchy burger
hold the government

anarchy, go ape $hit
let them know your sick of it
write your congressman,
tell him he sucks, your only in it for the bucks

anarchy burger
hold the government
anarchy burger
hold the government

you're all potential anarchy burgers
if you want to be free
order yourself an anarchy burger
(hold the government, please)

anarchy burger
hold the government

America stands for freedom
but if you think you're free
try walking into a deli
and urinating on the cheese

anarchy burger
hold the government
anarchy burger
hold the government

say fu*k in front of your mom
fu*k!
and
go to school naked

this song kicks ass

The Vandals are a pretty fun band and Hollywood Potato Chip is a really good album.
