Gang of four and the cars: Classic bands with new records
Two hugely influential punk bands have new releases this year. Gang of Four's "You'll Never Pay for the Farm" has seen great reviews. Personally I listened to it and I feel it is a good add to their catalog. Production is almost better than ever.
The Cars' new one Move Like This has some cool stuff as well. Songwriting seems a bit more serious. Their approach is pretty genuine with the group not having put out a record in like decades! Good to see they can still make music together. Ya'll like these new ones? |

Post-punk's close enough for me, really.
Andy Gill is such a noxious twat though, I don't even know if I want to hear the new album. His twitter poisoned me against him and GoF |

Gang of Four is great. The Cars, besides the self-titled album have contributed nothing of value though.
The Cars also never released anything remotely punk.
