To me, "punk" is doing whatever the hell you feel like, while still making mostly fast paced rock music. I think those both must be met, because then A LOT of people would be punk. But I don't think it's a genre where you must meet certain requirements.

I have the same doubts.I think Punk belongs to rock category and punk is fast and the lyrics is not very poetry,a bit angry too.

In Beijing the bar street Sanlitun,there is a club named Punk,we went there once but it is full of people with suits and formal dress and the music is not punk at all`````=(
