it doesn't really offend me much - everybody has the right to air their opinion, whether it's a right one or a wrong one

I agree with this assessment. It reminds me of earlier times when people wanted to banish Wagner after the fall of germany. Its art in any form and people should be able to listen to what they want. I only own the first screwdriver album and i own a few SOD albums and thats my god given right.

No, I'm American. I am fond of Europe's New Right, however, and I do support paleoconservative candidates when I can.

SOD's lyrics were written by Scott Ian as a joke through a character Sgt. D haha. Skrewdriver actually means what they are singing about because they are racist *******s.

I understand the concept of his lyric writing that doesn't make it any less offensive being written in third person. I don't know one muslim who would not be aghast after hearing that song. That was my point, what is offensive to one person may not be to another, regardless of the reasoning behind the lyrics.

And I don't think there is a difference in the lyrics honestly, they are preaching about hate of another race regardless of whether they find it humorous.

One is meant to actually spread hate while the other is written through a character. What is there not to understand? One is meant to spread hate while the other is not and is simply written as a joke and to piss people off.

I've not heard SOD but from what I've read from Buzz it sounds like those lyrics were ironic or satirical. Meant to actually promote the opposite of what Skrewdriver promotes.

But again, don't know the band. Just saying.
