One of the original punk bands, After forming in '76 they only recorded a handful of songs before most of the band was arbitrarily sacked by label owner Bernie Rhodes. They were unable to release a full album until 1980, when the soul remaing member, Vic Godard, assembled a new batch of musicians.

If you were considering getting into these guys, I'd go for the compilation We Oppose All Rock & Roll - it consists of the bands early recordings.

The only thing I have by these is 1978 Now and I have only played it once :(

I think they're a very underrated band. Give them a listen from time to time.
