Youre forgiven... Not that I held anything against you, but still. I think the forums are doing alright with the mods we've got, it might take a few days but we get it all sorted.

i find it amusing considering any punk worth listening died out in 1980. the last great punk album was the dead kennedys "fresh fruit for rotting vegetables"- 25 ****ing years ago!!! nowadays its just a word used loosely to describe any band that swears, dyes their hair in fluescent colours, gets piercings and wears vintage clothing. its importance today is zilch.

thats a lame comment, theres plenty of really good punk music being made out there, some i find better than the fresh fruit album. Youre obviously not looking in the right places.

There is great punk music out there nowadays, mostly the best punk as history would suggest is always found underground and local, thats why a lot of people think there is no great punk bands out there, they just don't know anything past the gloss paper magazines they read.

Punk is also an all encompassing term for all sorts of radical music.Bands like Naked City,Melt Banana,Mr. Bungle all have their energies, sound, ideas and ethics rooted in punk but not everyone would consider them punk.

Also to know what punk is,you really have to know the real old school bands like the great Crass,The Clash,The Dead Kennedys,The Misfits,Sex Pistols,Killer,Arto,Jetset etc.
All of whom contributed greatly to the artistic as well as fashionable kick in the arse to the mainstream glam/psuedo hippie anti action culture of the 70's.

Punk is just not such a big deal anymore, but you still have new great bands.
