YouTube - The Bags- Violent Girl (LIVE Troubadour 1978)

formed in '77, they were one of the first LA punk bands. Interesting bit of triva: The drummer in the video above got into a fight with Tom Waits at this show over Alice Bag (the lead singer).

anyone know this band?

I only know them thru The Decline Of The Western Civilization. I kind of liked them, though it was hard to stand out in a movie and a scene with bands like Black Flag, X, Circle Jerks, The Germs, etc. Nice clip.
