Blink or Green?
 

Who are the better punk-rockers, Blink182 or Green Day?

When I first got into punk-rock, at the age of 15 My mate phil aka punk182, got me into Blink182 and I liked them better, but last year at college I started listening to Green Day, when I was still friends with bloodfox900. Now I prefer Green Day!

Blink obviously, i don't listen to them much any more and i'm glad that they've split up before a reel of rubbish albums came about... but i've always hated greenday, don't know why... just have...

I hope so much that Green Day do not win this. I agree with i am not emo, tis a good thing Blink split up, they would have gotten worse and worse...

But to be honest, neither are "punk-rockers".. Sorry everyone, I couldnt let that slide past...

well, it is obvious that Blink 182 is a carbon copy of Green Day....the bassist even looks like Mike Dirnt...the only origional is the drummer....
I voted Green Day becuz they have been around longer and have written more material, so just for that they are better....

no no no...I DO think that GD are better....and I said that wrong....
but I still stand by my statement of Blink veing a carbon copy....
was just saying that Green Day have had more time to expand their musical horizons so experience has alot to do with quality.
and I think Blinks experience stems mainly from Green Day records.
that's just my opinion, don't get me wrong, Blink has some good songs....not nearly as many as Green Day....

they both are equally as horrible

pop-punk bashers are just as boring as the pop-punk fans now. we get the idea, your very very cool for slamming GD, blink 182 etc. how about we just forget about pop-punk in general..just for an intsy wintsy bit at least.

...it's a shame that if it wasnt for pop/punk, you'd have no business here in the punk forum. There's nothing wrong with pop-punk, but when the only things you listen to are green day and blink, and you make assertions about punk (*cough Milly/bloodfox, jaz), that's just stupid!

i would still have business coming here, im a big fan of classic punk. must admit, my knowledge on anything "punk" past the mid 80s is low if not nothing.

thats what i was assuming- considering it seems that green day etc are the bands getting most mentions on the punk forum.

i'm not knocking it, if anything's worth time it's imprisoning stuffed monkeys and making sure they can ride little bikes
