i couldnt find anything that would answer this question anywhere in the forums so.. here goes.

i have heard the term a lot on musicbanter and i have no idea what "nazi punk" means.

helo me out here.

well, punk music is quite well liked by Nazis and you know what they are....
they made it their own(or tried) for a long time, but the Dead Kennedys took care of that....I think it was more, "freedom" and "rebellion" words that they took into their own twisted hateful minds......justification for they're actions I guess.....

you have to be kidding me. first, how the hell do you not know what a 'nazi punk' is? Second, the dead kennedys didn't stop nazis from coming onto the scene. there are still 'nazi punks' out there today. the dead kennedys weren't the only band who didn't like nazis. I could sit here and waste my time bitching about this some more but I don't think I will. A nazi punk is a nazi punk. Screw all of them. Nazi punks, **** Off!

yes I know that Dk was not the ones who "stopped them coming onto the scene" they are still on the scene for **** sakes!

Just to clarify not all skinheads are nazis. The vast majority of skinheads are anti-racist. Its just something that seeped into the Oi! scene in the late 70s and 80s' because of white power orginizations trying to use subcultures to get there message across to other "trobled youth". It provided an easy way out of the troubles of life by using other races as a scape goat. So the heads of white power orginizations used the subculture to distribute white power music and literature and lots of kids just ate it up because hell, they got nothing else to do. BUT now a days like I say most skinheads are s.h.a.r.p. or Skinheads Agarinst Racial Prejudice. At least thats the majority of skinheads in America. I know that everyoe I've ever talked to from Europe(especially Germany) have said that theres an abundance of nazi skins there.
