Hmm, the singing in "Hot Topic" by Le Tigre sounded so childlike and melodic to me that I thought the song could be considered soul, if it weren't for the drum pattern and a bit of distorted guitar. Their singing didn't seem to have much edge and made the song sound very tame...although of course the topic is good! :) I'll try listening to some more of their stuff. Maybe there's something harsher. I probably just prefer a punk sound to electroclash. Thank you for mentioning electroclash, by the way. I'd never heard of that genre before, Oh Wise and Knowledgable Tumor. |

Oh jesus. Fighting over which feminist movement is better is like fighting over which sect of Christianity is better. They both had a message with a slightly different twist. I don't give a s*** who is "better" but I know that not all women have the same experiences so some related to one or the other. I related to the riot girl movement.
