Poison Idea may be a great band, but I don't think the original request will be served by shutting everything else out. He only likes two punk bands... he needs all the recommendations he can get.

When you get over a certain age you are allowed to shut everything out. It's the law. Trust me.

For parity:

The Adicts
999
The Ruts
Eater
Radio Birdman
The Gun Club
The Flesh Eaters
State Of Alert.

Oh come off it. You're only a couple years ahead of me. You're just used to having kids, you poor bastard.

Nice list though.

To be fair I think there are very few really good Punk bands but there are some stunning tracks out there that make up for it. I'm sure I'm around 6-7 years older. I have the bald head to prove it.

Well good thing not everyone thinks alike then.
Oh come on, you're not 35-36! There's no way! Baldness aside even.

I like Nausea. They're a little more metallic than some punks might like, but the whole crusty sqautter thang was pretty rad. The guy/chick screaming is pretty cool, too.

I could never get into them. I do like the dual vocal thing and the nearest I have heard recently was a 4 piece called Appallachian Terror Unit who made a 4 track ep a couple of years back but I have heard nothing since and they were solid.

Oooh, try out some Contravene, they do the dual vocal thing quite a bit, but they're excellent. You'd probably like them (if you haven't already heard them)
