To someone requesting emotional Punk, here's a band that did it great. This band was one of the most influential. This is a live performance that shortens the song a but (The original album version ran for about SEVEN minutes, with an extended "There! Is! No! Love! In ! This! World! Anymooooooooooooooore!" ending), but it's a good live performance of a legendary band.

In order...

1. So glad you're enjoying the album... it's definitely a hard listen for a non-punk lover, but it will destroy all you hold dear and change the way you listen to ALL music, not just punk. Keep listening.

2. Because it's Iggy Pop. He's totally bat**** insane. Observe.

Try this out for size.

Post-hardcore punk. I personally am not the biggest punk fan, but this is a fantastic record and song.

Black Flag raw and alive! One of the most influential bands ever.

More classic Stooges footage. This time right from Michigan, at the Goose Lake festival. A very ill fated festival, and sadly one that turned out to be very ill fated for the band as well, despite playing as wild as possible. The clip maybe a little shaky, but it seriously gets into the rawness of the Funhouse era live performance.

A VERY young Social Distortion. Saw them around the time of Prison Bound, and they're still going strong!

The Documentary Another State of Mind is a great film to catch, but it's best served on DVD with three commentaries.

^ Yeah, I'm pretty sure they count as punk music.. at least modern punk rock lol. I've heard only two or three 30 Seconds to Mars songs, so if there are any you recommend? I have a friend who likes them a lot but I haven't really gotten into them and would like to...

Anyone want to recommend stuff in the vein of Captain We're Sinking/Crucial Dudes/Chalk Talk? Bands with Cs are great.
