It would be a pretty miserable existence if I didnt have social Distortion or the clash. or misery or minor threat or any other great number of bands. But If it came down to it Id much rather have Dead kennedys music around than LOC. Without LOC you still have any large number of there side projects or othwr bands to listen to anyway.

I dont think any of jellos other material in lard and whatnot is nearly equivelent to the passion power wit and sarcasm in dead kennedys early years. Dont get me wrong I like almost everything jello has ever put out spoken word or otherwise but it just dosnt do the same thing for me.

Some of Jello's lyrics and spoken word stuff seem more like extremism and distortion than anything else. He's great and DK is one of those "essential" bands, but I dont agree with most of his views.
I dont know about bands I couldnt live without, because there's so much music I like in general. But, it would certainly suck if bands you guys mentioned werent around.

And if the RAMONES cmon if they werent around holy **** what would the state of alot punk be in today they may not have been the first punk band but they were really influecncial and all and plus if they didnt exist The casulties "MAde in NYc" wouldnt have a chorus.
