Sonic Youth are post-punk now? well.. maybe their first couple releases to a small degree.

have you listened to the first couple U2 albums. They had a real post-punk feel. Had more of an overall Post-Punk sound than Sonic Youth did on the first couple.

That's debatable. Many sources claim they are post-punk. They are also labelled as proto-punk, new wave, art punk, and punk rock. Honestly, I've gotten to the point where I don't even care anymore...
Anyways, here are a few post-punk bands that I've been digging lately: The Raincoats, Dome, The Cardiacs, and Young Marble Giants. I'm not really sure if The Cardiacs are post-punk or not, but... eh. |
