Stooges First Album and beyond?

What would happen if the Stooges made all their songs the same as the first album? would you still buy have bought their albums?

Or would you have rather had them make that change as playing a little rougher? (obviously like Fun House)

The Monkey 12-02-2009 05:48 PM

Could you rephrase your question, please?

proto-punk 12-02-2009 05:52 PM

well have you heard the first album?

if you have it has more of a velvet underground sound to it

what if all their songs sound like velvet underground songs instead them all being fast and abrasive.

Obviously only an idiot wants to listen to the same sounds being coiffed out album after album. The debut is great, but it's the variation and progression which makes a band's career interesting and important.

lol ok, i was just wanted to state an opinion

Sneer 12-02-2009 06:07 PM

Sorry if you interpreted my response as hostile, it wasnt at all.

proto-punk 12-02-2009 06:11 PM

no i didnt respond like that, i agree with you fully so i said as a conclusion that i made this as a opinion

i got nothing against you dude

I think progression is great in everyone except the Cramps. So I think the Stooges did the right thing - we got some fine albums out of it.

I was thinking "No Fun" somehow reminded me of the Velvets...
