I used to listen to Green Day a lot as a yungun, but the first CD I got for myself was The Ramones debut. I heard Blitzkrieg Bop on Tony Hawk Pro Skater and I was amazed! the end

This thread prompted me to look through my hard drive and dig up a lot of old music I have from my old computer, my playlist for the next few days is gonna be full of bad religion, social distortion, ignite, and the ramones. Those were the first punk bands I got really into. I think Bad Religion was the first punk band I got really into, pretty soon after I heard American Jesus I'd collected the entire discography. I actually got into punk music from watching ski movies. One movie had a segment set to social distortion - story of my life, and after that, I started searching all the soundtracks of all my ski movies for good punk music I hadn't heard before. I actually found a lot of good stuff that way.
