Pretty much don't like nirvana straight out, Pixies are sweet however.

^^i try to avoid remasters whenever possible, unless for 60s stuff, which usually tend to sound murky unremastered

Yeah, the whole point of "Nevermind" was the fact that it was really raw and that was where the feeling was.

It's not really a very raw sounding album though. I listened to it recently for the first time in years and was kind of surprised by how glossy it actually is.

Rolling Stone describe Nevermind as a "feedback bonfire", and "Heart Shaped Box" and "smells like teen spirit" are pretty hazy, don't you think?
"Lithium" is definitely a lot more glossy, though.

Heart Shaped Box is on In Utero - that one sounds more ragged than Nevermind
