Someone needs to define "melody" for this misguided fellow. Clearly he's never listened to a Pearl Jam, Soundgarden, or Alice in Chains record. Nirvana did the world a favor by killing hair metal which in a way allowed for Pantera to burst into the mainstream and introduce a heavier brand of metal to the masses.

I have never really ever been all that interested in Nirvana, I really only like in Utero and their greatest hits. I did however find a lot of great music by looking up Kurt Cobains top 50 albums list.
Pixies all the way. Never got into the Seattle grunge thing. I live in Seattle. It is such a bandwagon genre here. People still can't let it go. Alice In Chains was decent.

wow.....
Hahaha, kind of an ironic rant considering we are currently living in what is arguably the best and certainly the most diverse era for metal in its entire existence.

I think the Foo Fighters discography is better then Nirvana's. And Dave Grohl seems to be a pretty down to earth cool guy. Where is the basis for calling him a tool?

I find passion in music cleansing and both bands have a lot. When you're however Nirvana's music cleanses your soul; you can feel the rage in the music. "Smells like teen spirit" Is like a 3-minute bout of anger. It's cathartic.
