Maybe not but put it this way, they're more punk rock than Rancid and Green Day.

Nirvana every time. - I dont dislike the Pixies, but they're not going to win up against music geniuses like Nirvana, lets face it.

I like Nirvana but they're not really musical geniuses, and they certainly were not as innovative compared to the Pixies. In fact Kurt Cobain is probably turning in his grave at the thought of being called a musical genius.

I hate to derail the thread but this notion really bothers me: what about early Green Day and especially Rancid isn't punk rock?
