posting in there is probably what got me worked up in the first place

EDIT: back on topic... why do you think The Pixies lost it after Doolittle? I can understand a lot of people don't like Nirvana, but what specifically don't you like about them?

Well, Hey was my absolute favorite song for about a year,
I put it on every mix cd I ever made, and even wrote a comp. for my English inspired by it.
But after that it was just got super played out (I tend to do that with songs I really like), and now I can't even listen to them.

I never liked Nirvana.
I think if you're whiny enough to kill yourself when you have a wife and kid,
nobody should listen to your whiny ass music. No offense to the fans or anything.

Nobody ever brings that argument up about Vincent Van Goh, who did exactly that. Suicide is either brought on by shame, some underlying mental health problem, or severe pain. Of the three he had two - depression and a pinched stomach nerve... not to mention a severe drug addiction which he tried and failed to quit numorous times after his daughter was born. It's music of the tourtured soul... yes he suffered but damn the music that came out it was brilliant. It doesn't make what he did right but a little understanding goes a long way.

And Nirvana certainly weren't "whiny".

I dunno man..
I'm not a big Van Gogh fan either,
the crazy mother ****er cut his ear off for no reason!

I just don't like the music much either, honestly.

Creepy, yea, I'm gonna stand by that statement.

I apologize for being a 'troll', but the Pixies lost their cool right after Doolittle,
and Nirvana just never had their cool. Just throwin that out there.
What do you mean their "cool right"?
Edited: I am retarded

I prefer the pixies, although both bands are amazing. Big fan of Kurt Cobain, but pixies just seem son original in some of their songs.

Dang thats near impossible to compare the two. I love them both so much. I'm going to vote Nirvana though just because I've been into them longer and they probably had more of an influence on the music I listen to today than the Pixies. Dang though, both are very close in terms of being favorites of mine in the genre.
