Sex Pistols were opportunists, clever ones at that, but opportunists none the less. PIL actually sought to transgress convention and explore unchartered terrain. Cliche yada yada blah I know, but reason enough to, without hesitation, go for those post-punk munchkins...

I wouldn't say the Sex Pistols were opportunists. I would say McLaren was.
