I think PiL are leaps and bounds over The Sex Pistols.

I voted Sex Pistols in this. Public Image Limited may well have done more music but they also probably did more music I disliked and maybe could be a bit pretentious.

I wasn't referring to the video above but sometimes I wonder if they can aim for more significance in their music than it can actually fulfill. I don't really feel like listening to their music right now anyway.

P.I.L. was deep without sounding "overproduced". Simple songs: Happy, Dissapointed some of my faves. Good question.
