Pistols, purely for the effect they had on a totally stagnant UK music scene. PIL's "This is not a love song" however is so ****ed up its brilliant.

I really like both, but I've gotta go with the Pistols mainly because they did so much a short amount of time, and changed so much.

A glorified New York Dolls rip-off or an innovative and groundbreaking post-punk band, so hard to decide.

The Sex Pistols were a great band that would have become boring if they'd done another album because they were so focused on being a shock band, and most of the members weren't interested in artistic progression.

PiL focused on creativity, which allowed for artistic development and change. As a result, their sound was continuously evolving, which allowed them to release many albums and establish themselves as a great band.

I ****ing love both of them.
