I prefer the Sex Pistols. Not that PiL aren't good.

But honestly, I really don't feel all too strongly about it. Both are good, but Sex Pistols are my personal preference.

Tough choice.

The Sex Pistols were one of those essential bands for me. They helped get me interested in punk rock music which in turn lead to my love of music as a whole. I still enjoy listening to their music today, even if I have to put up with Sid's voice for the post-Lydon work.

PiL are just plain good post-punk experimental stuff, but along with that comes the fact that it's challenging - it certainly isn't music for all moods. Then again.. neither are the Pistols.

I admire Lydon's post-pistols work more than when he was Johnny Rotten, but I'll have to go with the Pistols because they bring back a lot of memories for me.
