you have to live it man!
You are making a mockery of the idea, and need to do your research hun.
and in all your posts promoting anarchy, I have yet to read any type of political protest...me thinks that you live at home and are still dependant....
nothing wrong with that, but you have to experience what you are rebelling against first...
I'm with ya thought man....

"The Dying And The Dead"

Thiry thousand auto workers have gone to work to find
That they've been downsized form the assembly to the unemployment line
The employed seeking job security content with what employers give
Thinning out the job market keeps the workers competitive
The upper one percent receive the tax breaks, social program cut's commence
Educational funds take a back seat to America's defense
These education cuts are an investment in the prison industry
An occupational restructuring towards a slave labor economy
The chance of survival on death row disappears, theirright to appeal is deprived
Worker strength and solidarity depletes with union officials bribed
Raising taxes to build sports stadiums while the homeless are ignored
Refusing to supply the health care benefits most people can't afford
The newly founded citizen review boards' members are all police
The gap widens between the cost of living and the inflation increase
Those in power own the media machine it's the vehicle to their views
They bury all of their corruption under fluff reported news
They bombard us with statistics to influence public opinion
The more ridiculous the lie the more people seem to listen
It's the people with no money that are responsible for the rest of us being poor
We'll just eliminate the welfare system to even up the score
Our conditions never imporve no matter how many programs we stop
The money always seems to circulate back to the people at the top
The occasionl whining criticisms keep the public satisfied
The rest are busy escaping reality with drugs the CIA supplied
It's always the most oppressed who easily fall victim to ignorance
Even with all that they've been through they still pledge allegiance
To their country and flag that has caused all of their grievous pain
Patriotism leads to natonalism which in turn proceeds to fascism
Poor and working class people are the tools of sick corporate perseverance
**** on little puppets exploited in the trials of human dominance
But still the pride goes on blindly and in so-called freedom they gloat
Waving the flag but cursing the politicians they think they elect when they vote
Behind the trails of our peacekeepers lie the dying and the dead
There are millions of starving chilren that are waiting to be fed
Because executive orders demand that economic sanctions are applied
If they'd have bowed down to our pressure, relief may have just arrived
As the worlds only super power we rule without regret
We don't let these children survive and grow up to be a threat
Love of this country is based on nothing but the fear of living somewhere worse
And gratitude shouldn't be the reaction to someone else being slaughtered first

THE ADICTS LYRICS

"Viva La Revolution"

Into the Dungeon with evil men
The people has risen we're free again

Come out of the closet
Come out of the hole
Come out of the woodwork
Come into the fold

Rebels and fighters, a license to kill
Unite with the bandits down from the hills
Open your windows
Open your doors
Open your minds
To a freedom of thought

[Chorus:]
Viva la revoloution
Viva la revoloution
Viva la revoloution
Viva la revoloution

Raise our voices, raise our flag
Smash the symbols of the life never had

Long live the symbols
Long live the scheme
Long live our hopes
Long live the dream

Dance in the streets at the carnival
Celebrate the victory now
Drink the wine from the rich man's cask
This revolution won't be the last

[Chorus x's 3]

Rebels and fighters, a license to kill
Unite with the bandits down from the hills
Open your windows
Open your doors
Open your minds
To a freedom of thought

Dance in the streets at the carnival
Celebrate the victory now
Drink the wine from the rich man's cask
This revolution won't be the last

[Chorus x's 5]

anarchy itself is one of those cliche punk slogans. It's one thing to hate your government, but to abolish government? Common. Let's talk about things that are actually plausible.

Acctually anybody with a reasonable grasp on what anarchism is knows that it is possible. And it has worked before many times(Spain, Woodstock, communes etc) Theres a whole lot more to anarchy than pople think. Everyone thinks anarchy is blowing up buildings and setting fires. The concept of anarcho syndicalist communes is acctually pretty practical. People work together in communtities to support each other and keep there way of life going. Granted there will always be miscreants that see this as an excuse to rape and murder, but thats when communal policing takes place. Neighborhood watch programs are already a sort anarcho communal policing. Its deffinetly something worth looking into for a good read.

But at the same time I wouldnt consider myself an anarchist. I would consider myself a free thinker/reformist. I belive in a smaller for of direct democracy. Not the monolithic representative crap we have going on now. But the more I read about the practicality of anarchy the more me belives stray. Its just the fact that most people have NO idea of what anarchy acctually is that ruins it.

I feel the total opposite way, that most people have no idea what anarchy is so they believe it actually works. My brain is still half asleep, so I can't really fully grasp your comments about communes and neighborhood watch, and how that relates. I'm not entirely sure how you see it, but anarchy (to me) is a mere pipe dream for cynics and fashion punk rockers. The only example of anarchy I can think of is Somalia, and needless to say, I don't think that's working out quite well. If you look at the current nations that believe in democracy, I don't think you can rationally believe that abolishing all political authority could work.
Maybe the anarchy you speak of is not quite the anarchy I am speaking of. I'm talking about zero social hierarchy, no political authority, no government. That's just not plausible to me. Humans have demonstrated throughout history that they cannot hold contracts, respect their neighbors, share food and water, and live amongst each other in peace without some kind of authority.
Dont get me wrong, anarchy can happen, but the larger the population, the more likely it will lead to utter chaos. I'll get back to you later, and I'll think about that neighborhood watch/commune stuff you were talking about (right now, it doesnt make much sense- I'm talking countries, not small debatable variations that still exist under some political/social rule)
