Default Jeffrey Lee Pierce Appreciation Thread

Ive noticed nobody has really mentioned JLP's solo works. He had one solo album, released in 1985, called 'Wildweed' which to me was excellent from start to finish, even with the 2-3 spoken word tracks at the end.

I cant quite place the style of the music on this album, it is definitely leans more to the pop-rock side of things, in comparison with The Gun Club's stuff.
JLP also released another album of blues covers with Cypress Grove & Willie love in 1992 entitled 'Ramblin' Jeffrey Lee'.

Anyway heres my favourite songs from the Wildweed album:

The first 2 tracks off the album:

My own personal favourite (Love Circus).

2nd best track on the album, me thinks. (Midnight Promise). Watch out for 'Open The Door Osiris'; part 1 of the weird spoken word trilogy that concludes the album!

'The Fertility Goddess' & 'Portrait Of The Artist In Hell'. I think he was on crack when he did this sh*t lol.
