The Distillers is an early 00' american street band. Lead singer is a chick named Brody Dalle, who's voice is fairly burly and rough. She co wrote most of the songs released on all three albums. They are not the most remeberable groups out there, but it's still worth a listen.
William Elliot Whitmore is classified more-so within the blues/folk/americana area's. He's not really classified as punk. He has some political views in a couple of his songs "Mutiny" "Old devils"....... I dont know why i listed him Still worth a listen though. Ill post a ****load of artist's tommorow, finals are bogging me down. |

McLusky, Fugazi, Fleet Foxes, Bone Gunn, The Cinematic Orchestra, Fantomas, Bonnie Prince Billy. All these might be up your ally. Mostly because I think the better portion of the bands you listed fall under the category that I like to call: "good." So here are some bands that I thought of while reading your list that I think also fall into that category. Hope you find something you like! Enjoy.
