The sex Pistols.The broke the way for any 'Punk' band today and IMO sounded better than half of the rubbish produced now.

That's only half true. The sex pistols, as I'm sure you all know, weren't really a band that some friends started. They were actually started by a guy who owned a fashion boutique type deal in Englan. He was looking to start something new, and he pulled in a poor kid off the street, put him in spikes and their is your punk rock. There were plenty of other bands playing before the sex pistols that constitue punk though. CBGB was even kicking before them.

Today's Empires, Tomorrow's Ashes is a classic. I am not especially a punk fan, but this band cannot be denied.

I have to agree with you here. They are the originals and they have led the way for so many punk bands throughout the years.
