Is the best punk really from the US?
 

Tell me what you think, personally I wouldn't class blink 182, the Offspring as genuine Punk. Sex Pistols, Ramones is the real deal!!

personally i wouldnt be so stupid to state that such bands are the only american punk bands in existance.

I'm guessing you made this thread because of that 'americans know nothing about punk' one? You are an idiot. Some of my favorite punk bands are from the different countries and blink182 and the offspring aren't even punk.

where did you hear the offspring and blink 182 classified as punk, back up your stories, and what brought on this thread? did you really just want people to come on here and argue about the ramones and the sex pistols being good bands? they started our modern music, no one is going to argue with you about that but what is the point of saying american music sucks, i haven't heard too many recent bands from different countries that i'd give the time of day lately, unless i just don't know where they're from... oh yeah i don't care where they're from,, music is not classified by country it's classified by the individual who writes the music, not the country he writes the music in

No its from canada balck halos and epitaph is in canada,but i would go with new york,that queens area.

sid vicious's favorite band was the ramones. I read that in a book about the ramones.
