Careful, he takes everything literally, he might think that you're saying that ETF has transformed/transfigured into a turd mountain.

Alright, then I'll break it down:

Everybody likes different music, and everybody hates different music. So to bash somebody's music taste is just stupid and immature...I bet I hate some bands that you listen to, but you don't see me going out of my way and insulting them.

But that wouldn't matter...because I guess around here, emo/scene/post-hardcore bands aren't "cool".

I'm sorry, but I don't like a band because they are "scene"...I like a band because I like their sound. I don't even relate to a lot of ETF's lyrics, but I think that the mixture of singing/screaming kicks ass, and that Craig's high voice sounds really cool.

I can't help that I like it, but I do, so you aren't going to change my opinion on it.

I also totally love Metallica, Megadeth, Winger, Def Leppard, Led Zeppelin, and Iron Maiden.

But you aren't going to bash me for liking them, because they are legends, and people that bash them look like idiots. If you really don't like them you will just say that you don't really prefer their sound...which is what you should do for bands like ETF.

By the way, I'm kidding about Winger .

ETF aren't emo, and scene isn't even a genre of music, it's a stereotype. And pretty much every post-hardcore band has screaming and vocals, it's normal. Chiodos, Blessthefall, Escape The Fate, From First To Last. It's not new. Craigafer doesn't go high compared to most other post-hardcore bands, he keeps it at a normal octave. I'm not trying to change your opinion on anything, by the way. And obviously you still don't see that people on this board bash Metallica as much as, if not more, than Escape The Fate. And I have the ability to be honest. I live in the United States, there's a little thing called freedom of speech. Hence, I am therefore free to say that I don't "prefer" Escape The Fate's sound, I dislike, or hate, it. One last thing, here on Music Banter we like to have the ability to be able to name more than legends to show our musical tastes.

I said emo/scene because that is what a lot of hardcore metal fans call it. Not saying that you are.

And Craig mainly goes high in Blessthefall, namely Higinia. But in stuff like Ashley and the ending chorus of This War Is Ours, I just think it is the perfect high range.

And I know that Chiodos and those bands all scream, but I get annoyed with FFTL's voice...it just sounds too whiney, idk. I also like Chiodos a lot, but I like ETF's guitars more.

If you want high vocals, listen to Ambrosia by Alesana, but most don't like it because it's just TOO high for a male voice lol.

And I'm not hating on you for saying you don't like ETF...or even hating them with a passion. But when someones all like "oh wow I am soooo embarrassed to have a medium compatibility with this guys music" it's just dumb.

And I can also name a bunch of other non-legend bands to define my music taste...like I See Stars, A Day To Remember, Glamour Of The Kill, Hopes Die Last, and I don't really like that many old underground bands...they are all so popular.

See, now I'm getting to like your music taste more. Alesana, ehh, they are crap, sorry. I See Stars, A Day To Remember, and Hopes Die Last are some of my favorite bands, out of many.

Yeah, well I really just like the song Ambrosia and This Is The Part Where People Usually Scream.

And I'm pretty surprised that you like/know of I See Stars and Hopes Die Last.

Silverstein, Agraceful, Before Their Eyes, LoveHateHero, and then the metalcore side BFMV, Gwen Stacy, I Killed The Prom Queen...

Ah, not gonna be dissin on your taste but it seems like its so generic and you haven't really broadened your horizons. I used to be just like you believe me.
And we weren't asking you why they were the best band in the world. We were asking you why that was your opinion. Which I guess has already been covered.

I hope it has been covered.

And I do have pretty broad horizons...if not, then what other bands would I like that sing/scream and have a nice heavy sound and solos?

I think you would like the fall of troy, they're kind of in the same genre, not really "heavy" but they're extremely talented. Pretty much every song is a non stop solo too. Check this song out YouTube - The Fall Of Troy - 08 - Seattlantis
